Sharing Warmth: Our Winter Donation to Nelson House First Nation
We were proud to donate essential winter gear to students in Nelson House First Nation in October 2025. Our donation included 180 winter boots, 900 scarves, 500 toques, 1,300 pairs of gloves, and 400 neck warmers to help keep children warm and safe during the cold months ahead. These items are designed to provide much-needed protection against the harsh winter weather common in northern communities.
Access to quality winter clothing is vital in northern communities where temperatures can drop drastically. These donations are more than just items. They show our care, respect, and commitment to supporting Indigenous youth and families in meaningful ways. We understand that having proper winter gear is not only about comfort, but also about safety and well-being.
At Indigenous Inclusive Education, we believe in building strong connections and giving back to Indigenous communities. Providing these winter essentials to Nelson House First Nation helps create safer and healthier spaces where students can learn, play, and thrive throughout the season.
We are proud to stand alongside NNCEA and look forward to continuing to support Indigenous communities through programs and resources that honour their culture and values. Together, we can help build a brighter, warmer future for Indigenous youth.
